Final packing for the 10 next months and one-way ticket Chile!
This is it, the time has come to pack 'for good' - everything must fit in my 50 liter backpack for the next 9-10 months! Even if I'm still not sure which countries I will go to and for how long in each. That's okay I'll just guess what I may need.
I'm so lucky and grateful to have a space in Basel at my boyfriend Inayat's place where I can spread everything out and decide better what to bring or not. We can also have delicious homemade meals with the vegetables and milk I brought back from the goat farm and especially have time to say goodbye one last time.
Once I'm packed: here I go on a long train journey to Barcelona, through Strasbourg and Paris in one day.
September 24th: I am now flying direct with a one-way ticket to Santiago de Chile.
The plan upon arrival: 3 nights in a hostel in Santiago then a few days visiting around maybe also Valparaiso and starting Monday Sept 30th on Farm #3 in Matanzas, 2 hours south of Valparaiso close to the coast on a regenerative and native forest propagation farm.
Here is the description on Workaway: Join an off-grid regenerative organic farm and help with the propagation of native species near Matanzas, Chile
14 hours flight Barcelona to Santiago de Chile
Last day before flight, saying goodbye to my dear friends in Basel (those who could make it such short notice ;-))
Travel tip: The travel website (in French) Tourdumondiste that helped me select my backpack thanks to their great analysis and comparison. I personally wanted one that I can walk with if needed and also that was small enough to fit in the airplane cabin without having to check it in, while still being the biggest possible! The winner was Forclaz Travel500 50L Women's. It's only been 4 days as I write this but I'm really happy with it!
On va poursuivre ton expérience au Chili dans les fermes de permaculture si j 'ai bien compris ! Ça va être intéressant !
