First days in Costa Rica - exploring San Jose

Starting this new phase in Costa Rica with a few chill days to rest from the trip and finish all my blog posts of the last month in Chile in a cozy hostel - and exploring the big city!

Beautiful garden, lush tropical vegetation, exotic organic produce at the market, sloths living freely in the forests of the University of Costa Rica, butterfly garden at the Biology Institute and indigenous history in the Museo del Oro Pre-Colombino. Impressive city!

The most common picture for people visiting San José!

A tropical river going through the city - jungle feeling!

Like being in botanical garden everywhere

Inside the University of Costa Rica grounds - can you spot the sloth in the tree?

Sloth!

Nice view to write my blog

The picture doesn't show as well but these spiders were humongous. Luckily inoffensive and staying in their webs

Not a butterfly but very beautiful!
