Colorful Cahuita and playful monkeys and raccoons

My work at Rodolfo's: teaching yoga in the morning and in the evening. The rest of the time: free! Perfect for me to discover the surroundings during the day, in this case the cute tiny town of Cahuita and its National Park.

The park is all along a beautiful sandy beach and full of wild animals - although really used to humans now and hanging out really close to the paths. Around 3:30pm just before the park closes, the monkeys were super active, jumping all around in the trees, playing, running and fighting in the middle of the path. The raccoons were also all around, in search of food that they could steal from tourists. One raccoon discreetly approached the beach where a couple was hanging out looking at the waves. It peaked up behind them, poked its nose in their bag, took out a banana and ran a few meters away to eat it!

And walking on the paths!

Wild time for monkeys just before park closure at 4pm!
