Uvita and the whale's tail

Going from Quepos all the way south of the coast into the Osa Peninsula for the Yoga Teacher Training by public bus announces itself like a long ride with multiple buses, so maybe not the best thing to do in one day and I prefer to make a stop in Uvita, of which I have heard good things about. And I'm happy I took that extra day to stop here!

Imagine walking along the beach, but instead of having the land on one side and the sea on the other side, the sea on both sides of you! This is Uvita, walking on the 'whale's tail', this natural formation where the sand comes out into the ocean. Only during low tide does the whale's tail reveal itself and opens the way into the ocean. It is a stunning site, I stay there for  a while enjoying the 'Pura Vida' of Costa Rica, bathing in the warm waters of the sea just before sunset. Eventually the sun comes down and the light turns into a show of many colors and reflections.
