Puerto Viejo - the Caribbean feeling

Puerto Viejo - surrounded by the sea, a little town full of art and crafts, shops, restaurants, bars, reggae music. It's hard to describe but it definitely gives you the Caribbean feeling of lightness and Pura Vida: enjoy the moment, take your time, take it easy, have a good life and go to the beach. Lots of surfers and people on bicycles everywhere. There is a busy road going through the town so you do have to be careful with cars and trucks traffic, but then you also see surfers carrying their surfboards under one arm riding their bicycles!

I meet up with Samantha again from our yoga training, super nice to hang out and exchange our 'post yoga training reintegration' thoughts.  And even Sylvie that I met in San Jose with her accordeon! We all went to an 'open-mic' night at Salsa Brava - it turns out it was more of a 'reggae rapping open mic': the DJ was playing reggae beats and local guys were 'reggae-ing' on the beat - felt like being in a whole new country. Sylvie still tried to join in with her accordeon, she can just improvise over the beat, it is impressive and sounds so good.

So cool to hang out with Samantha - yoga connection
